Due to tight spot availability, Asian
toluene prices rose a lot on March 2. No firm offers or bids were received FOB Korea. A bid was made for a 5,000-mt non-Iranian origin first-half
March-loading cargo to West Coast India at $990-1010/mt FOB West Coast India,
but there was no agreement, trading sources stated. According to trading sources, a $1,010-1,050/mt FOB Kandla
offer was made for a 5,000-mt cargo of Chinese origin. This would allow for
prompt loading on March 22, with no counter offers. Market sources say traders looked into cargoes that could be
exported out of India due to the increased demand from Indian gasoline blending
