The front-month swap for naphtha at $540/mt
as well as the physical CIF NWE shipment at $546.75/mt are both at the lowest
price since January 2021. Sources say that prompt spreads
increased on the day despite the rest the curve being in contango. This is because
supply conditions are under pressure as refineries like La Coruna in Spain and
La Skikda in Algeria remain in maintenance. Sources
said that in Asia, the new Middle East supply kept the market structure
contango. Kuwait's KPC offered 28,000 mt naphtha to be loaded on July 5-6. Front-month
European crack assessed at minus $11.85/b, up 15 cents/b. The CIF NWE
