Feedstock firmer or stable this week /Acetone slips $5/mt

The price of Asian phenols and acetones was slightly lower in the week ending Nov. 5, due to falling prices on China's domestic markets. CFR China phenol was down $10/mt from the previous week to $890/mt November 5, while domestic prices dropped about Yuan 175/mt in a week. Market participants struggled to find a level of pricing stability due to the increased supply from imports. FOB China is currently being traded at $880-$900/mt, but there were no fixed prices. FOB Northeast Asia, a tradable indicator was heard at $920/mt from a manufacturer. CFR Northeast Asia could be traded at around $950-970/mt.
