European Xylenes: Premiums soften amid stable demand / Steady Bidding Activity in MOC / Stable spot PX and OX markets

In the European spot market for mixed xylenes, there was a stable level of buying interest during the week ending August 9 due to a healthy supply. Participants noted lower premiums in this week's market, reflecting a downward trend seen on the gasoline market and geopolitical developments around the world. Sources on the market said that demand was largely unchanged. At least one deal at $95/mt premium has been reported. A seller stated that "there are more buyers looking for material at lower prices." Shell entered the Market on Close assessment in search of volume on August 9. Bidding activity also showed steady levels of interest.
