The market activity for European recycled high-density polyethylene was slow during the week ending September 4, as the demand struggled after the low levels experienced over the summer holidays. One recycler stated, "There's not much happening [on the market]; its pretty flat." Several market participants said that the European HDPE market has been experiencing low demand, which is causing limited trading activity. According to the recycler, there are plenty of R-HDPE bales on the market, but they're not being bought. According to a distributor, prices could begin to drop.
