The European propylene market was relatively quiet in the week ended July 3. Buyers were reluctant to commit, since the rollover of key feedstock propylene had left the market with no clear indication as to pricing direction for the remainder of the month. The demand for material was stable weak. Market players were preparing for a seasonal downturn in the summer. The key derivative markets were subdued, with limited demand and pull from both homopolymer or copolymer materials. Spot prices rose Eur20/mt in the past week despite weak demand.
