European Nylon Chain : Weak Pull from Downstream derivatives puts pressure on Prices / Nylon values drop by Eur40/mt / Market characterised by abundant supply and weak demand

In the European spot nylon market, prices continued to fall in the week ending September 4, as values weakened amid abundant supply and persistently weak demand. Only the adipic and caprolactam price remained constant.
Cyclohexane
Cyclohexane prices dropped on the week due to a lack of buying interest and a quiet market. The September industry-set European benzene price for August settled on August 30 at $1,025/mt, and Eur924/mt, up $44/mt, and Eur18/mt compared to the previous month. However, this did nothing to increase cyclohexane prices. Participants in the market attributed spot prices' weak trend to high inventory levels.
