European LDPE prices stable despite slow July / Feedstock ethylene Contract Price Set at Rollover / Market waiting for supplier feedback: Sources

In Europe, the low density polyethylene market experienced a relatively quiet week in the week leading up to the 3rd of July. Prices remained stable, reflecting the settlement of the contract prices. The European LDPE spot price was unchanged at Eur1,200/mt FD NEW on July 3. The feedstock contract price for ethylene in July settled at Eur1,220/mt on June 28. This was a rollover from the previous month due to the volatility in the upstream market naphtha. According to sources, the cost of naphtha had dropped throughout June, but increased in the last week of the year. It is still too early to make any predictions.
