European jet fuel prices rallied Sept. 10 amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. the Jet CIF Northwest Europe Cargo price at $1,599/metric ton, up $113.25 day over day, with the premium to ICE low sulfur gasoil (LSGO) widening to $123/mt from $108.75/mt. ICE LSGO September rose $4.50 to $1,476/mt, with September/October backwardation narrowing $3.50 to $80.75/mt. In the jet paper market, the CIF Northwest Europe cargo premium to ICE LSGO settled at $104/mt, up $33.25 day over day. European jet fuel fundamentals remained comfortable, with ample supply available from both imports and refinery output. Refiners built inventories during June and July, while oversupply in Asia encouraged additional cargoes to be shipped to Europe. Market participants said supply remained readily available, with September cargoes continuing to be offered into Europe....
