The availability of low sulfur straight run and vacuum gasoil feedstock product remained ample across Europe on Sept. 10, and autumn maintenance began to weigh on prices. As several refineries across Europe began maintenance on their secondary units, demand for feedstock products such as VGO has decreased. “There is no demand for VGO for September in the Med,” a local trader said. Meanwhile, elevated distillate cracks have seen healthy CDU and VDU refinery margins, resulting in increased feedstock production, last assessed the October European ULSD 10 ppm crack at $88.36/barrel on Sept. 9, at near all-time highs.
