spite of weak demand, the European high density polyethylene market had
multiple offers over the seven-day period ending March 22nd. Market
players reported that HDPE was readily available throughout the week as they
saw more offers for imported and domestic materials. Market participants
stated that although Europe has limited import volumes, HDPE supply continues
to be tightening as the demand for HDPE remains weak. European buyers
continue to be limited in end-user demand, with limited orders and limited
consumption down the downstream value chain. Participants in the market
said that there was uncertainty about upstream monomer costs, market
fundamentals, and no expectation of a rise in demand going into
