European Feed Stocks Daily Commentary / Low demand for feedstock / Subdued gasoline crack

In the Northwest European and Mediterranean feedstock markets, activity was subdued on Dec. 30 due to low demand in the region and tightening of supplies during the holiday season. The lower demand for road fuel during the winter months results in reduced purchases of feedstocks that are used to make gasoline and other products. The crack price for gasoline is low. In line with this, the crack price of gasoline was also low in recent months. The low levels of demand for feedstocks meant that local supplies were covering the demand. Few feedstocks are being imported into Europe. This has reduced supplies in Northwest Europe as well as the Mediterranean.
