The spot price of European ethylene vinyl-acetate remained unchanged for the week ending July 3, amid quiet trading. The buying and selling activity remained low as participants waited to get a better picture of the market before the European summer holidays. On June 28, the European ethylene contract price for the month of July was set at Eur 1,220/mt, a rollover of May. According to sources, the volatility in the naphtha upstream market was responsible for the stability of the CP. The cost of naphtha dropped through June, but rose in the last week.
