FOB NWE Ethylene Dichloride $300/mt is unchanged from the previous week. This is in line with US spot prices and pending new FOB indications. The contract price for chlorine was Eur204/mt on Sept. 3. This is down Eur5 since July 2. In the first week in September, spot prices for Caustic Soda continued to increase as the tight supply in the Mediterranean continues to affect the European market. The price increase began in August when the demand was normally low. Traders confirmed that the offers were over $600/dmt, while others stated that they ranged between $600/dmt and $700/dmt.
