Asian Styrene prices fall due to weaker upstream benzene
and ethylene- CFR India deal heard done at CFR China flat- India's high inventory and tepid DemandThe Asian styrene market was assessed at
$6/mt less on May 5 due to a weaker downstream market. The styrene CFR China mark
was $6/mt less on that day, at $1,019/mt. The benzene CFR China mark was $7/mt
less, at $885/mt. And the ethylene CFR Northeast Asia Marker, at $890/mt. Brent futures for the front month rose by 25 cents/b to
$73.36/b on May 5. Sources say that demand
in Southeast Asia is still depressed. Some
sources had previously hoped that demand would recover after Ramadan. However,
this hasn't happened yet. CFR India was
