Asian Ethylene Prices Fall amid Declining Interest- Weak margins on downstream markets- Stocks that are full further slow down demandThe Northeast Asian ethylene was $15/mt
lower on a daily basis at $850/mt, CFR NE Asia. Meanwhile the Southeast Asian
ethylene was $10/mt lower on a daily basis at $910/mt, CFR SE Asia on May 19. FOB Korea was down $10/mt
from the previous week to $840/mt FOB K. An agreement was made at $850/mt for
Northeast Asia, which highlights a bearish environment in the region. Due to the low demand for ethylene derivatives such as
styrene, buyers are concerned about unhealthy downstream margins. Poor demand is attributed to a variety of macroeconomic
