Asian Ethylene: NE Asia rises $25/mt, SE Asia stable / CFR North East Asia reaches highest level since May / Japan's Oct naphtha fed steam cracker runs at 77%

The price of Asian ethylene increased by $25/mt on Nov. 22 due to a firming market for naphtha upstream. The CFR Northeast Asia price of ethylene rose $25/mt from day to day, reaching $890/mt on November 22, the highest level since May. Commodity Insights showed that the CFR Southeast Asia price remained stable at $920/mt in the same period as the CFR Northeast Asia price, which was $905/mt. Import materials are in demand as the local China ethylene prices are higher than imported cargoes. According to market sources, the local China ethylene was priced at Yuan 7,400-7500/mt or $898/mt based on import parity. Asian naphtha prices also rose, as CFR Japan naphtha increased by $6.25/mt per day. The price was assessed at $651/mt on Nov. 22, according to market sources....
