Asian Polyoxymethylene prices hold despite demand increase / Increase in demand for domestic China from traders / Market still obscured by antidumping and tariff uncertainty

CIF China polyoxymethylene prices (POM) remained unchanged at $1.490/mt on Dec. 11. This is below the offers of $1.500/mt or $1.550-$1,600/mt. A China-based trader said that domestic demand has increased, particularly from traders who have been buying POM at current low prices. The trader said that people will buy at a low price, while producers will increase prices when their inventories are low. Another Chinese trader said that the prices remained constant throughout the week.
