On Sept. 18, the Asian ethylene market remained bearish as weak downstream demand continued to put downward pressure on pricing discussions. Participants in the Chinese and Taiwanese markets returned from their Mid-Autumn Holidays, while those in South Korea are expected to return Sept. 19. On the Chinese domestic market, offers fell Yuan 150/mt in the week ending September 13 to Yuan 7,400/mt on that day. A producer said that demand was weak, and that few cargoes had been sold. Some deals were made at Yuan 7,200/mt. "Supply is plentiful, but demand is very low due to the weakness downstream. A trader from Northeast Asia said that the sentiment was bearish because downstream demand is still weak. The C+F Japan Naphtha Marker was up 50 cents/mt for the day, at $651/mt...
