Asian Ethylene : Bearish in NE Asia amid abundant supply and weak demand / October cargoes remain available / South Korean crackers are expected to reduce their run rates due to a sluggish market

In the week ended September 27, Asian ethylene markets were barely traded. Some sources claim that there is an ample supply of cargoes for October. The demand for October cargoes is low because most buyers have already completed their negotiations. A trader in Northeast Asia said that there were still spot cargoes for October. Some offers were made at $830/mt CIF China during the week. This is down $10 to $20/mt compared to the week ending September 20. A bid of $810/mt was heard CFR China. Buying indications were heard for delivery in late October at $800/mt, CFR NE Asia. Prices on the Chinese domestic market fell Yuan 200/mt in a week due to sluggish demands.
