Asia Ethyl vinyl acetate: Prices are stable, but demand is slightly up / Unchanged Fundamentals / VAM stable in thin trade

In the week ending September 4, the Asian ethyl Vinyl Acetate market remained stable. EVA is selling at a slightly higher price. A trader in Northeast Asia said that the demand for shoe foam is improving. According to market sources, photovoltaic grades continue to be produced in small quantities. The medium VA grade is for shoe foam while the high grade is for photovoltaics. High EVA grade in CFR China was stable at $1.070/mt on Sept. 4, despite a stable Chinese market. Medium EVA grade also remained stable at $1.150/mt on Sept. 4, based on unchanged fundamentals. On the domestic market, the high EVA grade is at Yuan 9,700/mt which is equivalent to $1.139/mt on an import-parity base. The Asian vinyl acetate market has been quiet upstream since August 29....
