Asia Ethyl vinyl Acetate: Spot Prices Rise amid Tight Supply / High-grade EVA reach 4-month high / Medium-grade EVA lifts during peak season

The Asian ethyl Vinyl Acetate Spot Market strengthened during the week ending December 11, with the high vinyl monomer grade reaching a 4-month-high not seen since the 26th of July, while the medium grade VAM also increased due to tighter supply and improved demand. A China-based producer said, "Yes we are increasing our offer due to the current tight supply on the spot market." A second producer in China echoed the same view and attributed the tight supply to an increased demand for EVA. Another producer in Northeast Asia expressed an optimistic tone and said that January offers for photovoltaic grade EVA were under negotiation with customers.
