Asia Ethyl vinyl Acetate: Prices rising as demand recovers / Gulei, Sierbang Petrochemicals plants shut / Demand for PV grade increases

Sources said that Asian spot prices for ethyl Vinyl Acetate improved in the week leading up to October 23 as demand grew, along with a tightening of supply. A producer in Northeast Asia said that there was a decrease in supply. "Gulei and Sierbang Petrochemical EVA plant have closed down," the manufacturer stated. In addition to inventory pressures, the buying interest in medium grades (18-21% VA) and higher grades (28% VA and above) has increased. Solar demand is improving. "Demand for solar panels isn't so bad. "We will consider resuming the production of this grade in November. We have low stock for solar panel grades now," said an Asia-based manufacturer.
