Recent discussions revealed that European spot butylacrylate sellers had significant difficulty selling material in a weak market. According to a source, "suppliers chose to reexport inventory to Latin America to manage their high stock levels. The arbitrage between Asia and Europe was closed due to the escalating costs of iso-tanks. A source reported that European participants had started to adjust prices aggressively in order to gain a larger share of the spotmarket. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Indian Standards had announced new developments which showed certain end-users were granted an advance license.
