USGC Aromatics Prices Rebound amid Energy Market Gains / Prices begin to rebound / No Imports into US Gulf

US Gulf xylene prices rose a little bit this week, as market players digested news that the US Federal Reserve had cut interest rates for the very first time since 2020. Toluene nitration and commercial grades rose 4 cents/gal on the week, while mixed xylene increased 6 cents/gal. Paraxylene prices stabilised after a drop of $92/mt in the first half September. The PX price rose by $1.76/mt during the week ended Sept. 20. US Gulf PX Prices tracked CFR Taiwan/China Paraxylene Marker, which was supported a stronger downstream PTA Futures Market in China.
