Few fixed-price discussions were held on
the Asian ethylene market June 5 as there was a persistent gap between buying
and sales indications. The buying indications for arrival
in July were between $700 and 750/mt, CFR Northeast Asia. Selling indications
were $800/mt, CFR Northeast Asia. Some participants prefer to
negotiate on a floating basis. Discussions were heard at CFR Northeast Asia
plus an additional $20-$30/mt. The majority of buyers had their
June requirements covered. There were few discussions on July,
as there are several cargoes that are available. On the
upstream market, the benchmark C+F Japan Naphtha mark was up $23.125/mt from
the previous session to $586.375/mt by June 5. The
