Market sources reported that some buyers wanted to plan their June inventory. The buying urgency was not high, as most buyers said they weren't in a hurry to commit at this time, because they had enough stock. Market sources cited volatile upstream conditions and an uncertain demand as the reason for a limited number of fixed price offers. The floating price indications were at premiums between $10 and $20/mt CFR Northeast Asia, for shipments in June. Some buying indications have been heard between $890 and $910/mt CFR Northeast Asia. As turnarounds come to an end in June, the regional supply is expected to recover. Producers are also under pressure due to increased competition on spot markets.
