The Asian mixed xylene isomer prices
dropped $5/mt on a weekly basis to $875/mt at FOB Korea, and $894/mt at CFR
Unv1, but increased $11/mt in the same period to $892/mt for CFR China. US buyers are only showing
a lukewarm interest in Asian MX at this time, according to sources. Toluene is
of greater interest, as it has been priced lower than MX. US MX was last assessed on June 15, at 358 cents/gallon or
$1,086/mt FOM US Gulf, for cargoes loaded in June and July. Sources said that traders had already concluded some parcels
