US spot 2-ethylhexanol prices fell during the week ending May 2. Dioctyl Terephthalate, however, remained unchanged prior to preliminary antidumping results. Source: "2-ethylhexanol is in short supply." Pricing for 2-EH could rise a bit more over the next few months. US export 2-EH to USG at $1,245/mt on May 2. This is up $10 from the previous week. A second source stated that DOTP was priced higher than diisononylphthalate. This is supported by an ongoing preliminary antidumping investigation. By May 10, the government will have reached a conclusion with Malaysia, Poland Unv1, and Turkey. The market feedback showed that the demand for DOTP remained steady.
