paraxylene was down $20/mt for the day, at $968.50/mt. CFR Unv1/China on June
23. A trader in Asia said that the prompt market was still tight and he
predicted the PX/naphtha differential to remain stable until the end of
July. According to market sources, large PTA buyers continue to be in
demand for cargoes during prompt months because of turnarounds at major China
refineries like Zhejiang. This week the PX-naphtha differential remained
at $450, and it is expected that this trend will continue. On June 23, the
PX-naphtha differential shot up to $468/mt, up from $459/mt. The naphtha value
