US spot export prices of 2-ethylhexanol and
normal butanol remained unchanged from the previous week on 25 May, as contract
prices declined on the week due to lower feedstock settlements. On May 25, price
indications were heard for NBA and 2-EH exports at low to mid-80s cents/lb or
mid-80s cents/lb. According to one source,
orders are down while inventories are increasing as the demand is minimal. The source stated that "everything is still quiet." The domestic contract NBA is down 4 cents/lb from the
previous week. This is based on a price indicator heard of around 65 cents/lb,
pending further confirmation. This
