The European spot market for conventional polyether polyols continued to remain at low levels during the week ending September 20. This resulted in limited activity on the market. Toluene Diisocyanate also experienced a similar demand pattern, with prices dropping on the spot market. The polyols industry remained more constrained in terms of supply, but the buyer's pressure drove prices down despite these constraints. Both markets were experiencing a lack of appetite, and end-user applications are struggling. Participants in the construction market were pessimistic about a recovery despite recent interest rates cuts by ECB.
