The European naphtha markets continued to
show a downward trend on May 10. In fact, the contango increased on that day. The spread between May and
June was minus $4.25/mt. This is a $1.25/mt decrease on the same day. The market players attributed a declining crack to a weaker
marketplace. The European naphtha cracked
fell 70 cents/b in one day, to minus $9.20/b. This is the lowest price since
January 6. Kuwait's Al-Zour refinery has
restored full operation to crude distillation units 1, 2 and the output is now
345,000 b/d. This was confirmed by a spokesperson from the refinery owner on
May 10. The production was up from the
