2-EH unit rate of 100% for March

As two major production
companies in Shandong China plan to turnaround, the 2-ethyl-hexanol CFR China
marker has received stronger support. This resulted in indicative prices rising
by $10/mt and Asian orthoxylene prices increasing to $1,180/mt CFR China. The
last assessment was March 10. According
to a seller, Phthalic Anhydride supplies were tightened due to planned
turnarounds. There were some export talks
with China. According to sellers, the lack
of demand for plasticizers after Lunar New Years meant that 2-EH buyers used
their existing inventories rather than buying spot cargoes. This led to low
