CFR China March 30. Local demand remains weak in Southeast Asia as producers
there spoke of muted spot discussions amid tepid demand. In China, a source
said that downstream acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene producers were receiving
orders slower than usual. "Typically, the peak season for home appliances
is through the months of April and May, but major producers of ABS are heard to
have sold only about 20% of their April cargo. Some sellers have sold 10%, or none at all. China is
likely to have an oversupply of ABS. This could
be because people are putting off purchasing this season, since home appliances
