On April 30, a deal was made for a cargo to arrive between May 16-20 CFR China. This was done ahead of the Labor Day holiday in China, which runs from May 1-5. The seller was able to get a fair price because non-Iranian cargoes of prompt delivery were scarce. Fundamentals and domestic prices were Yuan 2,600-2610/mt, or $293-295/mt CFR China on an import parity basis. Market sources reported that the majority of spot talks had already moved on to June.
