Crude Oil Prices Up / CFR India cash differential shrinks

On May 29, toluene FOB Korea prices rose $2/mt on the day, to $891/mt. This was due to the firmer markets upstream and downstream. In Asian trade at 0830 GMT, ICE July Brent crude futures increased $1.48/b, to $84.87/b, while benzene prices FOB Korea rose by $3/mt to $1,086.33/mt. The domestic prices in China were also higher, rising Yuan 15/mt per day to Yuan 7,585/mt. This is equivalent to $921.72/mt based on import parity. The price of domestic ex-tank fuel in India was higher on May 29 by Rupees 0.50-1/kg, based on the stronger crude oil prices. The demand was increasing, and traders deemed the supply adequate due to a balanced stock position. Spot discussions were heard for July loading cargoes at FOB Korea toluene plus $120-$125/mt.
