the week ending March 3. This was due to a decline in margins in many
derivative sectors, which continued to impact buying sentiment. The Chinese domestic market
deal levels fell to Yuan 600/mt from Yuan 8,800-9,900/mt during the week. Many
Chinese participants stated that there was no incentive for higher-priced
imports because domestic cargoes were cheaper based on import parity. In spite of lower Chinese deals, buying indications were low
