PTA producers remain concerned in Asia as margins show little sign of recovery, while downstream demand remains depressed in China. PTA FOBChina was $632/mt, unchanged from the previous day. The average weekly price was $3/mt more than the previous week, at $628.60/mt for the week ending November 22. Sources said that container freights to ship PTA exports are on the rise. PTA producers in Asia confirmed that freight costs have "nearly doubled." PTA producers could be forced to switch to bulk shipping due to the rising freight costs.
