Asian MTBE prices rise as gasoline strength increases / 92RON gasoline cracks improve as gasoline increases /Arbitrage from China to Singapore closed

MTBE FOB Singapore Asian was up $27/mt from day to day, at $773/mt. The MTBE factor at 1.078 remained unchanged. MTBE values were higher on August 29 than they were on August 30. However, the final assessment is higher because the 92 RON crack to Brent crude went up from $3.53/b to $4.60/b. The 92 RON price increased to $84.84/b from $81.88/b. On August 30, there were no offers or bids during the MTBE Market Close assessment process. According to market sources, it has been a quiet Asian week. Arbitrage between China is still closed. Prices of FOB Singapore cargoes dropped during the week. FOB China prices for September loadings were reported as $770-780/mt FOB China.
