On April 19, the Asian monoethylene-glycol market was trending upwards amid increasing geopolitical tensions. The ICE June Brent futures increased $0.26/b per day to $87.23/b. On April 19, the MEG CFR China mark was down Yuan11/mt for the day to Yuan4,426/mt. This was due to weak downstream demand. End-users only purchased MEG on a need-to-basis.
