Asian Benzene prices rangebound as FOB Korea March/April H2 flips into backwardation / Three trades done for April FOB Korea during MOC- Asia US trade to remain quiet / CPC completes April spot purchase tender at a premium of $13.50/mt over weekly MOPK

The Asian benzene price was assessed at $874/mt, up 33 cents/mt from the previous day. This is due to a change in market structure for H2 April and March FOB Korea. Brent futures rose 73 cents/b in the trading session to $73.54/b as the Asian close. The Platts-assessed Naphtha Marker rose $2.50/mt during the trading session to $659.75/mt, C+F Japan. During the Platts market on close assessment process, a flurry trades were observed. Trafigura sold April FOB Korea to GS Caltex for $874/mt. Trafigura offered the same price three times. TotalEnergies took up two of those offers. Trafigura held its last offer of $874/mt until the Asian closing. On the trading day, the FOB Korea H2 April/March spread reversed to backwardation, with the laycan for H2 March assessed at $876/mt...
