Asian Caprolactam prices stable after limited discussions / Ammonia stable; benzene gains $2.67/mt / Nylon resin stable

Market participants said that Asian caprolactam prices were stable during the week of May 9 due to limited discussions and stable fundamentals. Upstream, feedstock prices moved relatively slowly in the weeks leading up to May 9. The FOB Korea marker was $1,036.67/mt - an increase of $2.67/mt over the previous week. Ammonia prices were also stable at $430/mt. "Current production levels are low but there is no inventory pressure," said a supplier in Northeast Asia. FOB China bright, semi-dull, and full-dull grades were assessed at $1,815/mt. The week's assessment was unchanged for all grades.
