The Asian paraxylene CFR unv1/China and FOB Korea marks were $1,046.67/mt, respectively, and up $3.34/mt for the day. The prices of crude oil and naphtha were both higher than the previous day. July Brent crude futures rose $1.48/b to $84.87/b, while the C&F Japan Naphtha marker increased $3.25/mt to $692.75/mt. PX-naphtha was stable on May 29, at $353.92/mt, compared to $353.83/mt the day before. On May 29, there were few paper values in the market as most of the Asian participants from China, and other parts were in Seoul, South Korea, attending the APIC Conference and meeting with market participants. On May 29, the Market on Close (MOC) saw a few offers and bids, but no actual trades. A bid for August from GS Caltex was $1,045/mt of CFR Unv1/China...
