The ICE July Brent contract fell $4.97/b on
the day, to $74.05/b by the Asian closing May 3. The price of crude oil
fell overnight due to concerns over the US banking crisis. An early
first-half offer for 2,000 mt was last heard at $815/mt ASTM 841, letter
credit at sight valid until 8:47am Singapore time (0047 GMT). This same participant bid on the same specifications
for $741/mt, valid until 8:41am Singapore time (0041 GMT). Sources said that no trades were made. However, another
market participant bid at 9:16am Singapore time (0126 GMT), for a 2,000-mt
cargo to load in May at $815/mt FOM Korea or $840/mt CIF China. Both bids would
