- Demand low , outflows largely local- PGP prices down 4.75 Cents/lb
during week

Spot US export polypropylene prices held
steady this week, with trades remaining thin due to muted demand. On March 15, a notional spot price indication
for export was heard at 55-58 Cents/lb for railcars. Market feedback indicated
that this price point would be most practical if the resin was destined to
Mexico. However, one source said that interest
exists from a producer to sell PP to US-owned converters. The spot March
polymer-grade propylene price was unchanged at 56.5 cents/lb FD USG March
22nd and 4.75 Cents/lb less than March 15. Sources say
prices are falling from an 11-month high on March 6 and are 4.75 cents/lb lower
than March 15.
