The activity on the Chinese MEG market increased May 7 due to the post-holiday replenishment. Some sources reported that the level of discussion increased due to the near-term need for cargoes. On the same day, some deals were made at Yuan 4,426-43,433/mt for quick shipments. Discussions were sparse on the import market, however, as buyers remained cautious due to the weak exchange rates between the US dollar yuan.
