May and June prices remain flat due to limited liquidity / Crude Oil Futures Settle Higher

The spot market benzene price was unchanged on May 13, at 404 cents/gal US Gulf Coast. Limited new business has been reported in the market. It's unclear what the price direction will be given that it's been a slow week. One source said, "It will be interesting to see whether it (the benzene markets) softens this coming week." The market was relatively quiet at the end of the week. However, sellers appeared to have stepped into the market on May 13, offering 409 cents/gal DDP USGC in May and 399cents/gal in June. The market structure remained unchanged. Backwardation between June and May stayed at 7 cents. June and July remained at 3 cents. July and the third-quarter backwardation was 1 cent. However, the FOB-to-DDP premium was unchanged at 5 cents....
