There was intense activity on both the buy
and sell sides of the Market on Close process in the European naphtha markets. On April 3, there were six
outstanding offers in the MOC, compared to no bids. This is a significant shift
from the previous week. During the selling
activity, prices on European crack, monthly spreads, and East-West spreads
dropped. The front-month CIF NWE naphtha
Swap discount to the equivalent gasoline swaps was down $2.25/mt at $176.75/mt. The front-month East-West spread, which is the spread
between CFR Japan naphtha cargo Swap and CIF NWE equivalent, was $5.50/mt at
