The Federal Reserve raised interest rates,
and the Gulf Coast benzene price fell for a second consecutive day. DDP May benzene is now 339
cents/gal. This is down 10 cents from the previous day and the lowest price since
January 12. FOB for May also dropped 10
cents to 349 cents/gal. The May contract
price was settled on May 2, at 391 cents/gal. The energy markets declined on the day. NYMEX June RBOB closed 11.34 cents below at 232.21cents/gal. WTI for June fell $3.06, to $68.60/bl. June ULSD dropped 5.69 cents, to 223.23/gal.
